He then attended the University of Virginia where he played for 4 years. After college, he played with the Loudoun Men\u2019s Rugby team in Leesburg, VA before moving to Culpeper. Richard has<br \/>experience playing as both a back and a forward, spending the majority of his rugby career playing Hooker and Scrumhalf. Currently a World Rugby Level 1 Coach, Anthony has been with Culpeper Youth Rugby since 2022, where he is committed to the next generation of players, promoting the sport&#8217;s inclusiveness and ethical code.<\/p>\n<p>A retired school educator, Anthony now resides in Luray, VA with his wife Na and their three children, all of whom share his love for the sport. When he&#8217;s not coaching, Anthony can be found pursuing his successful real estate career or volunteering as a Virginia Master Naturalist, providing outdoor learning experiences throughout the State.<\/p>\n<p>Despite his diverse interests and commitments, rugby remains the sport closest to Anthony&#8217;s heart. He is helping to grow the rugby community and inspire a new generation of players who embody the sport&#8217;s values of unity, courage, and respect. With Anthony&#8217;s guidance and mentorship, the future of rugby in Virginia looks brighter than ever.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_team_member][\/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=&#8221;1_2&#8243; _builder_version=&#8221;4.16&#8243; custom_padding=&#8221;|||&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221; custom_padding__hover=&#8221;|||&#8221;][et_pb_team_member name=&#8221;Jon Carter&#8221; position=&#8221;Coach Level 200&#8243; image_url=&#8221;https:\/\/culpeperrugby.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/cartercoachwebsitephoto-small_11.jpeg&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.22.1&#8243; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>Jon started playing rugby in 1993 for &#8220;Mother\u2019s Rugby&#8221; at Mary Washington College.<\/p>\n<p>The team enjoyed considerable success, advancing to the East Coast semi-finals, winning the plate division at the Cherry Blossom tournament in Washington, DC. and finished the season 21-3 earning a top 5 ranking from Rugby Magazine.\u00a0They also\u00a0toured Ireland going 1-1 in match play, quite an accomplishment for a US college side.<\/p>\n<p>After college Jon played rugby for Western Suburbs Rugby, a highly rated Division III team, where he is still an active player.\u00a0 He plays the games most coveted position. . . .\u00a0Prop Forward.<br \/>\u200b<br \/>As a founder of Culpeper Youth Rugby, Jon is very excited to see the growth &amp; enthusiasm for rugby in our community.\u00a0 Jon and his wife Rachel\u00a0live in Culpeper with their two children; Hamilton &amp; Magnolia.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_team_member][et_pb_team_member name=&#8221;Curtis Brownley&#8221; position=&#8221;Coach Level 200&#8243; image_url=&#8221;https:\/\/culpeperrugby.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/FB_IMG_1561333610099.jpg&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.22.1&#8243; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>Curtis played with VRFC in Charlottesville as a prop and has been a Rugby Junkie ever since.
